DWU’s SIFE members awarded Service Leadership Awards

MITCHELL – Five of Dakota Wesleyan University’s Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) leadership team members were honored with national student service awards.

Breanna Clark, Loveland, Colo., Amanda Dixon, Mitchell, Micaela Erickson, Milan, Minn., Raeanne Klein, Gregory, and Kamei Roesler, Leonard, N.D., received the SIFE Service Leadership Award.

The SIFE Service Leadership Award is given to students who complete 100 hours of service through SIFE activities during the current academic year. The students received a certificate from the SIFE USA National Office.

DWU SIFE completed numerous projects, including Your Life, Your Money; Kaagabbott; Gumball Capital; Bunny Money; Entrepreneurship Coffee Series; Marty Project; and the Kenya/Tanzania Health Education Project.

“SIFE is a partnership between business and higher education that prepares the next generation of entrepreneurs and business leaders to create a better world for everyone,” said Rhonda Pole, director of the Kelley Center for Entrepreneurship at DWU. “Through SIFE, university students improve their communities and experience profound personal growth.”
