DWU to kick off semester with guest speaker
MITCHELL — To welcome students back for the spring semester, Dakota Wesleyan plans to kick things off on a positive note with a guest speaker.
Lamarr Womble, founder of Passion for Leadership, will be on campus discussing the importance of self-discovery and pursuing personal and professional happiness at 11 a.m. to noon, Tuesday, Jan. 8, in the Sherman Center. This speaker is free and open to the public.
“DWU aspires to be a leading university which educates students on how to identify and develop their individual talents for successful lives in service to God and the common good,” said Malik Stewart, talent adviser for the Center for Talent Development at DWU. “Our focus on students as individuals with unique talents and aspirations is the pride of Wesleyan staff and faculty. Womble is a motivational speaker and life coach who I had the pleasure of hearing for the first time at a conference this past year.”
DWU classes resume on Monday, Jan. 7, and so do regular hours for the McGovern Library and Java City.
