Rollins Campus Center
Need a snack? Want to watch the big screen TV or play pool? How about some quiet meditation or group worship? Check your e-mail and your snail mail! You can do tons of things in the campus center!

The Village is a place to gather with friends, use the computers, watch the big screen TV or sink into a comfy couch and read. Grab a quick snack from the vending machines and challenge your friends to a game of pool.

The campus pastor’s office is here, as is the Wagner Chapel. Chapel service is held each Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Sherman Center and campus offices are closed and there are no classes scheduled at that time.

Also in The Village, find the director of student life and the director for the Career and Talent Development Center.

Admissions counselors are on the main floor, as well, so stop in anytime with questions or leads on friends you think would like to come to Dakota Wesleyan!

Stepping out the east door, students will find Jackson Plaza. Newly constructed in 2007, Jackson Plaza boasts multiple flower beds and a large fountain within a pond and stands between Rollins Campus Center and resident housing.

The Weston Food Court is upstairs for your dining pleasure, as well as the Knox Conference Room and the East Main Dining Room for lunch-hour entertainment or larger meetings.

In the lower level of the campus center, you’ll find the business office, central services (printing and mailing services), and the offices for the Phreno Cosmian (the school newspaper) and student senate. The financial aid staff, campus nurse, counselor and residence life offices are also downstairs.

The campus center was built in 1966 and is the hub of the campus community. The building was renamed in honor of Gordon and Elsie Rollins in 1987. Gordon Rollins worked at Dakota Wesleyan University from 1946 to 1988. He was a part of the fundraising and construction processes of four buildings on campus: Allen Hall, Rollins Campus Center, Dayton Hall and Smith Hall. In 1996, Rollins was honored at the first Wesleyan Patrons’ Banquet for his years of service and giving to DWU.

Visitor Parking
Touring DWU? Students and their families usually meet their counselor in the admissions office in the Rollins Campus Center. Since the campus center is in the middle of campus, you’re within a block of the main doors no matter where you park. The closest parking is in the lot just south of the campus center (Hurst Street). However if that is full, try the visitor spots in the parking lot at L.B. Williams or on the north side of the Dakota Discovery Museum. The parking lot at Williams and West University Avenue is also a good choice.
